  1. I'm sure glad you did a tear down! My safety lock came loose and literally fell out of the knife. Fortunately, I was at the kitchen counter over a soft padded place mat, and all of the parts were recovered. I used your video to disassemble the knife. You have to if you want to reassemble the safety lock. Everything went back together wonderfully, actually better than new. No more blade play, everything lubed up, and safety lock tight. One suggestion, don't use the safety lock too often, only when necessary. This feature is not, shall we say, a robust addition to the knife itself. BTW, I like the music with graphic representations and less BS, thank you very much.

  2. Thanks!

  3. lol at the soft-core porn music at the beginning… Nice review.

  4. Thanks!

  5. Great review made me sub

  6. Anytime! Keep up the great work!

  7. Thanks for the info! Appreciate it:).

  8. The HTM in Houge HTM stands for Hogue Tool & Machine, the division of Houge that manufactures their knives.

  9. Thanks! Great points with regards to the jimping. I want to check out the fixed blade version sometime in the future. Looks like nice tough knife! Thanks for watching!

  10. To be honest I'm not really sure what the HTM stands for. If anyone knows please chime in.

  11. Any idea what the HTM on the blade is in reference to? I don't believe it is referring to the knife company called HTM because they have a different logo.

  12. Great video. I have this knife and I actually really like the jimping. I also have the EX-F01 (fixed blade) which has the same large rounded jimping. I can't speak for the designers, but I beleive the extra large jimping is designed to work best while wearing gloves as so many military and law enforcement professionals choose to do. Also, the rounded shape of the jimping avoids the hard edges (that so many other knives have) that would create stress points and lead to breakage with heavy usage.

  13. Thanks! Appreciate you watching.

  14. Thanks! I've watched all the Elishewitz vids of this knife. I like how he took the knife apart so I did the same thing in my vid. Thanks for the kind words!

  15. I was pretty impressed with my aluminum tango version that I got the 4" drop point G-10 on the way. Alan has a nice review of this knife on his channel. Great review as usual DC! You're the best on YT.

  16. My mama told me never to settle!

  17. Mine came solid, no play from factory. But it was a bit too stiff for my liking, so I adjusted the pivot and now it has the slightest bit of play. I can tighten it up a bit to get rid of it. The deployment then would be a bit stiffer but still relatively smooth, but I like to be able to flick the blade open so I settled for a bit of play.

is the lock super solid ??????

  20. Thank you:). It was really easy to take apart mine. All the parts just kind of fell out once I pulled on it. I saw that same vid as well, that's why I wanted to see if it was true. But it's pretty simple.
